Kirsty grew up in the Broken Hill region and completed her early education at Broken Hill High School before finishing her senior years as a boarder in Adelaide. After school, she pursued a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of South Australia, but soon realised it wasn’t the right fit for her. Seeking something different, she turned to dairy farming.
In 1995, Kirsty and her husband Michael relocated to the South East to help establish a new dairy farm. During this time, Kirsty completed Certificates II and III in On-Farm Training. After a brief period of share farming in Mount Gambier, the family returned to Naracoorte in late 1999, where they raised their two young children. Kirsty spent the next eight and a half years managing the office of a local business before deciding to take on a new challenge.
In pursuit of this, Kirsty began studying through TAFE and joined Murray Nankivell in June 2008. She has since earned her Certificate III in Financial Services and completed a Master’s Degree in Professional Accounting in 2013.
Outside of work, Kirsty enjoys motorbike riding—both solo and sidecar cross—working on the farm, renovating, gardening, and spending quality time with family and friends.
